East Carroll Parish School Board

Regular Meeting 6:30 P.M.

Tuesday, August 3, 2016


Members present: Mr. Gene Edmondson, Mrs. Jacqueline Folks, Ms. Pamela Harvey, Mrs. Shirley Fairchild, and Mrs. Wanda Jackson.

Members absent: None


The regular meeting was called to order by president, Mrs. Jacqueline Folks.


Invocation was given by Mr. Gene Edmondson and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by all.


Mrs. Wanda Jackson moved, seconded by Mr. Gene Edmondson to adopt the minutes of July 12, 2016 regular board meeting.




The following personnel changes were made for the month:

Mr. Gene Edmondson moved, seconded by Mrs. Shirley Fairchild to approve school fundraisers for the 2016-2017 school year with the exception of a $3.00 dress down day proposed by Griffin Middle Academy.




Mr. Gene Edmondson moved, seconded by Ms. Pamela Harvey to adopt the following policies:

a.     School Board Ethics

b.     Preservation of School Records Due to Legal Actions

c.     Hazardous Substances

d.     Employment of Personnel

e.     Evaluation

f.      Tenure

g.     Home Study Program

h.     Display




Mr. Gene Edmondson moved, seconded by Mrs. Shirley Fairchild to accept the negotiated sale amount for Monticello High School of $21000 and waiver the 30 days, extending it to 60 days.
