ENTRANCE AGE

The East Carroll Parish School Board shall require children entering the first grade at the beginning of the school session for the first time to be at least six (6) years of age, attained on or before September 30 of the calendar year in which the school session begins.  For students entering kindergarten for the first time at the beginning of the school session, the age at which a child may enter shall be one (1) year younger than the age required for that child to enter first grade.  For students entering preschool for the first time at the beginning of the school session, the age at which a child may enter preschool shall be one (1) year younger than the age required for that child to enter kindergarten.
