STUDENT IDENTIFICATION

Students may be required to present their social security cards to school officials upon initial enrollment in school.  The social security number shall be the student's identification number while enrolled in school.  If a social security number is not available, the student shall be given a state identification number in accordance with Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) requirements.

FINGERPRINTING

The East Carroll Parish School Board shall permit the East Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Department to enter the schools of the parish for the purpose of preparing fingerprint identification kits for all students.  Such kits shall be prepared for each child once approval has been obtained from the child’s parents/guardian.
